First outing of the season awarded me with four nice hard fighting rainbows from Chalk Springs fishery. There’s one in the smoker as I speak to enjoy with dinner later together with a glass of white wine. I had to work hard for this last fish which finely took an Appetizer fly. Not tied one of those on for years. Just happen to have a couple in my fly box. It worked so well in the past when all else failed. To sum run up: Chalk Springs is still a very nicely kept fishery, well stocked and can be quite challenging.
